Yosiya 🥢 Halal Friendly Japanese Restaurant 📍 Japan, 〒616-8384 Kyoto, Ukyo Ward, Sagatenryuji Tsukurimichicho, 31 ❗️Have separate halal menu My order: - Chicken Cutlet Curry Rice (¥2200 ~ $22 AUD) - Omi Beef Curry Rice (¥2500 ~ $25 AUD) - Tempura Prawn Udon (¥1320 ~ $13 AUD) - Chicken Karaage (¥600 ~ $6 AUD) - Teapot (¥400 ~ $4 AUD) Our Rating: 8.5u002F10 One of the only halal restaurants in the Arashiyama area in Kyoto serving up everything Japanese!! How lucky are we??? 🥳 They honestly have every type of Japanese dish you can ask except for Ramen and on this absolutely icey day in Kyoto we had to go for that Japanese curry and Udon. 🤤 That Japanese Curry, man so good!!! Creamy, warm and hearty, so soulful, like at Niko Niko, just go for the Fried Chicken Cutlet, it is just perfection, JAPANESE PEOPLE JUST KNOW HOW TO FRY CHICKEN KATSU SO WELL!!! 🤩 I’d say my wagyu beef was delicious too but the portion of meat was quite small. Udon was great aswell, it’s pretty much got the classic udon flavour, don’t really know how you can get it wrong it’s just miso broth. 🫡 Also, their Chicken Karaage was SO DAMN UNIQUE, the batter and seasoning is very ginger heavy, and your first bite is literally a burst of ginger, definitely an acquired taste but we loved it!! 😮 A pleasant surprise is how big the restaurant is and gives a very upmarket bali-esque vibe, no waiting lines, a big change from Tokyo, we love it!! 😍
